Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports that on June 15, 2016, Detectives with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and Drug Enforcement Administration Eugene Resident Office concluded a ten month narcotics investigation in Jefferson, Oregon. At approximately 7:05 a.m., law enforcement officers served a search warrant in the 100 block of Main Street in Jefferson, Marion County, Oregon. John Roge r Bauer, 51, and Celia Lynn Nash, 49, years of age, both reside at the property and were home at the time the search warrant was served.
Items seized by investigators included over a quarter of a pound of heroin, two ounces of methamphetamine, three- quarters of a pound of marijuana, illegally possessed prescription medication, digital scales, packaging material, drug paraphernalia, drug records, surveillance cameras, nearly $3,000 in U.S. Currency, a rifle, and a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol. The pistol was confirmed as being stolen from the Albany area in February of 2016. Investigators also recovered an automotive diagnostic system valued at $4,500, which had been taken during a business burglary in Oregon City in April of 2016.
As a result of the investigation, John Bauer was arrested and charged with Unlawful Delivery of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Heroin, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and two counts of Theft I by Receiving.
Celia Nash was arrested and charged with Unlawful Delivery of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
