Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports his deputies have made multiple arrests for numerous burglaries that occurred over the last several months in the City of Brownsville. The burglaries included seven businesses and two residential, all of which occurred since September 2016.
The investigation led deputies into serving a search warrant today in the 100 block of East Blakely Street in Brownsville.
While serving the search warrant, stolen property including a firearm, personal identification, bank cards, checks, jewelry and kids toys were recovered. Methamphetamine residue and drug paraphernalia was also recovered from the residence.
Alexander William Adams, 21, from Brownsville, was arrested and lodged at the Linn County Jail on multiple counts of Burglary, multiple counts of Theft I, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Theft by Receiving, multiple counts of Criminal Mischief II and Conspiracy.
In connection to this investigation, three juvenile arrests were made prior to the search warrant. Three male juveniles from Brownsville; two 15-year-olds and one 14-year-old were referred to the Linn County Juvenile Department on charges of Burglary II, Criminal Mischief II, Theft I, Conspiracy, MIP- Alcohol and Curfew.
The investigation is continuing and additional arrests may be made
