Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley would like to report his deputies have continued their efforts on enforcement of under aged drinking at the Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has a zero tolerance policy for Minors in Possession of Alcohol.
Saturday, deputies cited 7 more people that were over 18 years old for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. 4 juveniles will be referred to the Juvenile Department for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Their parents were all notified of their unlawful behavior here at the festival.
Deputies have been working diligently with Music Festival staff all weekend to crack down on under aged drinking and other problems at the festival. Festival staff has cut 257 wristbands so far this weekend.
For those of you remaining at the Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival please be respectful and responsible so everyone can have a fun and a safe time enjoying tonight’s concerts.
Sheriff Riley would also like to report that eclipse related issues have been minimal across the rest of Linn County. The Sheriff’s Office will remain on standby prepared with patrol and Search and Rescue resources should any problems arise during or after the eclipse.
