Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports Brandon Dale Morgan, 45, from Lyons, was sentenced today after being found guilty in a jury trial on May 15, 2021, of three counts of sex abuse-related crimes.
Linn County Detectives investigated the case back in 2019 that led to his arrest and conviction for two counts of Sodomy in the First Degree and one count of Attempted Sex Abuse in the First Degree. Morgan will serve 25 years on each Sodomy charge, which will run concurrently and 18 months for the Attempted Sex Abuse in the First Degree, which will run consecutively.
