Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan reports on March 30, 2022, at 10:21 p.m., Linn County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call about a robbery at the Lyons Market in Lyons. The caller reported a male entered the store and took the cash register.
Deputies responded to the scene and learned a male entered the store with a gun, took the cash register and got into the passenger side of a light colored, possibly silver, sedan and left the area. The male entering the store was described as approximately 5’6” to 5’8”, around 160 pounds, wearing black pants, gray sweatshirt, blue jacket, dark hat and a face covering. The vehicle was last seen traveling west from the store.
At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no indication the public is in danger. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Kyle Connelly with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office (541-967-3950).
