Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan reports on June 27, 2024, at 2:43 p.m., the Linn County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received several 911 calls regarding a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Seven Mile Lane and Tangent Drive. It was reported that two vehicles were involved in the crash and both vehicles rolled over several times. It was also reported they were looking for an occupant of one vehicle that had been ejected.
Paramedics from the Albany, Lebanon, and Tangent Fire Departments responded to the crash as well as deputies from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators were able to determine a single occupant in a red 2009 Nissan Sentra was traveling north on Seven Mile Lane nearing the intersection of Tangent Drive when a silver 2011 Chevrolet Equinox ran the stop sign and caused the crash. The Chevrolet Equinox had two occupants, in which the passenger was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The passenger of the Chevrolet Equinox was initially transported to the Samaritan Albany General Hospital and later transferred to the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. The occupant of the Nissan Sentra was transported to the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. The occupant of the Nissan Sentra and the passenger of the Chevrolet Equinox both sustained serious injuries.
